Sunroofs provide an opening in the automotive roof to bring sun brightness and fresh air inside the automobile, and create spaciousness and refreshing feeling. Yachiyo has its own R&D division to have the unified system from basic research to product development, manufacturing technologies and mass production, and manufactures extensive line-up products pursuing of lightweight and safety.
In recent years, automobiles are required to improve fuel efficiency from the viewpoint of environmental protection, and it is necessary to reduce the automotive weight for that purpose. Yachiyo’s sunroofs realized remarkable weight reduction compared to conventional products.
In addition, in order to improve in vehicle comfort, Yachiyo manufactures sunroof products in consideration of ensuring a vehicle interior space by thinning and quietness by reducing operation sounds.
Opening and closing operation of sunroof panels is performed using an electric motor.
The Sunroof equipped with an automatic motor developed by Yachiyo employs the microcomputer control technology, and the microcomputer always monitors the opening/closing condition of the sunroof panel. This technique improves the safety and comfortability of automobiles.
When closing the sunroof, if a foreign matter is pinched between the frame and the glass, the microcomputer detects the pinching, then the operation of the sunroof is stopped and the sunroof moves into the opposite direction.
The microcomputer of the automatic motor always detects the glass position and controls the amount of movement to the opposite direction from the pinching position.
Even if the engine is turned off prior to closing the sunroof, the sunroof can be operated by the switch for a short time afterwards. Depending on the type of vehicle, the sunroof can be closed by a keyless operation or key cylinder operation from the outside of the vehicle.
This is the most basic sunroof storing the glass panel in a space between the exterior panel and interior panel of the automotive roof when opening. This type of sunroof is mounted on various vehicles such as sedans, SUVs and minivans.
This is the sunroof opened by sliding the glass panel above the automotive roof when opening. This type of sunroof can be mounted on vehicles having a small roof surface, and is also compatible to the dual sunroof mounted vehicles of minivan type.
This is the sunroof opened by lifting up the rear side of the glass panel and mounted on vehicles mainly for ventilation.
